Mar Theodosius visited the Boston University on May 3, 2010 and met the Dean Rev. Dr. Mary Elizabeth Moore.

Dr. Moore’s route to the Dean’s office at the school of Theology in Jan 2009 is very different from those of her 14 male predecessors. She has reputation as a scholar of Eco feminist Theology, spirituality and sacramental teaching. Formerly she was the Director of the women in Theology and Ministry program At Emory. She also held positions at the Claremont School of Theology.
Boston University school of Theology is a seminary with roots in United Methodism, but its branches out into the international Ecumenical, interfaith movement. It combines a 170 year heritage of Academic distinction with the flexibility to lead the reshaping of global religious life.
The words of Rev. Dr. Mary Elizabeth Moore are inviting: “Welcome to Boston University School of Theology, where religious leaders learn to change their Church and the world. The journey is filled with hope, discovery and discernment, as our community reflects on and re imagines the pathways of the past and the pathways that lie ahead of us.”

The meeting with Dr. Elizabeth Moore lasted for an hour and recalled the relationship the seminary has with the Mar Thoma Church. Some of the students who studied at the seminary are
Rev Oommen Koruth (Rt.Rev.Dr. Zechariahs Mar Theophilos Suffragan
Metropolitan), Rev. K. U. Abraham (Rt.Rev.Dr. Abraham Mar Paulos), Rev. Dr. Alex Thomas, Rev Alexander M Isaac
Dr. Moore expressed the interest in having students from the Mar Thoma church in the coming years. Mar Theodosius discussed the Visa formalities and the funding possibilities. Both expressed the desire to grow together in shaping the future of the seminary and the ministry of the Church.
