Episcopal Visit to Atlanta Mar Thoma Church-2012

Episcopal Visit of Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius Diocesan Episcopa to Atlanta Mar Thoma Church for 2012 was held from January 14^th to 15^th. Members of the Atlanta Mar Thoma Church were blessed to have the Diocesan Bishop in the parish for two days. We sincerely thank Thirumeni for his presence in the parish. During the visit, Thirumeni participated in various programmes arranged by the parish and met the parishioners. On January 14^th Saturday evening Thirumeni participated in the Edavaka Mission Anniversary and inaugurated the 2012 Edavaka Mission programmes.

The Ebenezer Mar Thoma Church bought a place of worship, first of its kind after 25 years of their existence in New York as a worshiping community. As per the request made by the members of the Parish, the Diocesan Bishop, Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius visited the new place and conducted a divine service on Sunday, January 22, 2012.

St. Andrews Mar Thoma Church had the Episcopal Visit for 2012 on Sunday January 22. Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius celebrated the Holy Qurbana service with the help of the Vicar Rev. Benchemin George. Thanks giving prayers were said for those who came to celebrate their Birthdays and Wedding Anniversaries. A good number of parishioners participated in receiving the Holy Qurbana.

The Episcopal Visit to St. Mark's Mar Thoma Church, Tampa coincided with the National Leadership Conference of the Diocese for 2012. 85 delegates from different parishes of the Diocese assembled together with the Parish members for the inauguration of the Conference on the evening of January 5, 2012. The praise and worship team of the Parish Youth Fellowship prepared the gathered assembly for an opening worship led by the Parish.

Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius visited South Florida Mar Thoma Church on December 24 and 25, 2011. Thirumeni was the chief guest of the Christmas Carol Service which was held on the Christmas Eve. The carol service started with a procession of the choir had melodious carols by the parish choir and variety entertainments programs by the Sunday School students and Youth Fellowship.

Jose P. Abraham, Executive Committee members and Members of Jacksonville Mar Thoma Congregation. There was a Baptism service in the Church in the evening, officiated by the Bishop.

The Diocesan Episcopa visited the parish on January 2 and 3, 2012. Rev. Thomas John accompanied him to meet the members of the South Area Prayer Fellowship of the Parish. On December 31^st, Thirumeni met with the Youth League leaders and discussed the upcoming Regional and National Youth conferences along with other activities of the Youth within the Church. Our Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius visited the parish from Dec 16-18, 2011. Thirumeni gave leadership in Sandhya Namaskaramon 16^thFriday evening. On 17^thSaturday at 10 am Tirumeni conducted and solemnized the marriage of Mr. Sancho S. Thomas –a member of this parish with Nissy Abraham at our church. It was a blessed service and everybody who attended, appreciated it.

The Episcopal visit to the Mar Thoma parish, Delaware Valley, PA was on 10^th and 11^th of December 2011. The visit started with a funeral service of Rev. K. A. Thomas, retired clergy of the Mar Thoma Church and a member of that parish. The funeral service was well organized and many members of the Clergy and Laity from various church denominations attended the service. The message from the Metropolitan of the Church was read and the Diocesan Episcopa brought the condolence message on behalf of the Diocese. He exhorted the people present to continue life’s spiritual journey with strong hope and deep faith.

The Diocesan Episcopa, Rt. Rev. Dr. Geevarghese Mar Theodosius visited the Baltimore Mar Thoma Church on 26^th of November 2011. Thrumeni's visit was really a blessing for our church as it brought many members together and we had relished in his spiritual thoughts and sound advice on all matters relating to our church. Thirumeni had a very fruitful discussion in a planned meeting with the executive committee members and answered all their queries relating to the church administration.
